Scripture: Philippians 4:7-And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (King James Version)
Devotional: The peace of God should rule in your heart and mind. Whenever a circumstance looks impossible to overcome because of its constant demands of it, just know that God will see you through. God always shows up for those that have faith, even faith that is so small can move His heart to action. Our ways may not be His ways. But God knows exactly what to do in your life and how to move in your life. The next time a season seems impossible to go through, trust that God is in control of every detail of your life. God’s ways will always be for your good. Don’t mess anything up because of impatience or because it wasn’t what you imagined it to be like. God’s future for you is for your good.
Prayer: Father God, as I come before your presence. I ask that you’ll give me the strength to face the day called ‘today.’ Even when my future seems uncertain, help me to dwell in your supernatural peace. Help me to feel your supernatural peace everywhere I go and help me be a peacemaker wherever I go. Your peace is what I need in order to navigate this life filled with trials (tests) and lessons. Whenever I lack peace remind me where I can gain more peace: “at the feet of Jesus.” Meaning, wherever Jesus dwells. Wherever you decide to take me next in my life journey, help me rest in Your will for me. Your peace is part of that. I praise and honor your holy name.
In Jesus name, I pray this prayer, amen.

Reflection: Let’s apply asking God every day to give us His peace. Even in that, let’s remember when we lack peace we need to reflect on our day and see what hasn’t brought us peace so we can have peace that surpasses all understanding. Sin won’t bring us peace, but righteousness will.
