Scripture: Genesis 2:24-Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (King James Version)
Devotional: Marriage is honorable and it’s biblical. It’s meant to edify both partners. Start seeing marriage as a gift from God instead of a burden in this world. For marriage was first established by God no matter what statements are out there in the world. For a Christian, who places their viewpoints and beliefs backed up by scripture? it’s like that. It’s time for your marriage to heal and let God in. Stop arguing with your partner and start edifying each other. You need each other for a specific purpose. It’s time to be a team instead of against each other. Don’t let the devil win this one!
Prayer: Father God, I pray for my marriage. I pray that you will restore it, heal it and continue to work all things for our good. Help me to see my spouse the way that you see them. Help me to learn that your ways are bigger than our ways. Help us to unite in seeking your face together, worshipping together, and honoring your name together. Help us to continue to fight against our real enemy: the devil and his demons. Help us to know that you haven’t left us but are carrying us through our difficulties and strengthening us so we can help each other out.
In Jesus’s name, I ask for strength and better days…amen.

Reflection: Try to do fun things with your spouse. Have a discussion on things that you’d both would like to work on and desire from each other. Encourage one another to keep the faith and eventually (the fruit) will manifest in your life with your spouse. No more your life. But “our life.” Your actions and decisions can and will affect your spouse. Both became one, it’s time to act like it. Sometimes marriage counseling will be needed because we aren’t born into this world knowing everything. Thank God for equipped spiritual leaders!
