Scripture: 1 Corinthians 7:8- I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. (King James Version)
Devotional: Singleness is a gift from God. It’s good to be single because your full attention is in devotion to God 24/7. When you’re married, you’d have to balance it out because you have to focus on pleasing your spouse in a holy way. Meaning being able to be there for them in all areas of their lives. Singleness is a journey for God to move so beautifully in your life. Don’t pass your season of blooming and becoming all that God wants you to become for a moment of sin. Guard your Singleness, guard your purity and if you never get married…Guess what? God still loves you. God is still there and God has a purpose for you. If you’re still waiting on God for your promise, well let me tell you….it’s not in vain. Your faith will be increased.
Prayer: Father God, as I continue as a single individual, I ask that you will strengthen me against the temptation of any sort. Of anyone not meant to be with me in marriage and is still being led by their emotions instead of by your word. Help me to see that no matter if I’m rejected or approved, my value is stored in you. Help me to continue to steward this season for your glory, honor, and purposes. For you indeed work all things for my good and this season is just that. Thank you for that. Thank you for being you.
In Jesus’s name, I pray, amen.
