Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:6-Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. (King James Version)
Devotional: Watching and being sober just means staying alert and prepared for all the good work God has for you to do. We wouldn’t want God to come back and see us not prepared for the eternal blessings He has in store for us. For we have yet to see those blessings unfold. God wants to take us to the eternal promised land. But we can’t secure it if we don’t continue spiritually awake. Grab your Bible every day, listen to things that bring you closer to God, that teach you something productive, and worship God every day. It has to be every day! Don’t slack!
Prayer: Father God, I ask that you will bring a spiritual awakening to my life. I ask that you will help me see things in a spiritual perspective. I ask that you continue to move to remove the blindness from my eyes so I can see what’s occurring in the spiritual realm. Anything occurring in the spiritual realm will eventually manifest in the physical. Help me and those I love not to give a footstool to the devil and his demons by the words we say, what we see online that can lead us away from you, and from anything not kingdom sent. We need a spiritual awakening and it’s evident. Please see us through, not just me.
In Jesus’s name, I pray, amen.

Reflection: Just continue to apply these steps every day:
- Communion with God.
- Read the Bible.
- Study the Bible (learn to take breaks).
- Meditate on the word of God. Even on transportation.
- Worship God through songs you know the Spirit of God will be pleased with your singing.
- Invite God every single day you open your eyes to your day so He can come in and help you navigate your day.
- Give your mornings and your nights to the Lord. It shows you really know that we’re nothing and He’s everything. We must decrease, Him increase.
